A Time To Reflect

The red-haired girl and mirror

In any business setting, it’s important to do some reflection during the transition to the New Year. Your business’s growth, much like your personal growth, often comes from the experiences you have and what you take from them.

Some things to consider during this time are:

  • Did you have goals set in place for 2012? Were those goals met?
  • How many new and repeat clients did your practice or shops have this year?
  • Did you try new advertising methods or platforms? Which ones worked?
  • Do you use any equipment or tools regularly in your profession? When was the last time you did maintenance on them?

It’s easy to forget the little things when you’re caught up in the hustle and bustle of your business. Taking an hour or two off in order to review your past year in preparation for the next often saves you from repeating less than profitable advertising, services or the continual use of tools and equipment that might not be working as well as they should.

At AMDS, we’re well into our reflection period and have big plans for 2013! We’ve finally made the commitment to go social with Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Linkedin (feel free to check out any of our pages and connect with us), we’ve starting this blog to help connect with our customers and vendors and we are trying even more new things in the coming months.

What are some things you’re trying or doing differently for 2013? Let us know in the comments section and feel free to share this post with people you think need a reminder to reflect!
